Rawla Narlai, Rajasthan

Rawla Narlai, Rajasthan

Tucked away amidst the Aravali’s, among the world’s oldest fold-mountain ranges, this one-time ‘Hunting Manor’ of the Jodhpur Royals now opens its doors to those on a hunt for blissful tranquillity. Today, this 17th century ‘Country Manor’, painstakingly restored to its original magnificence, caters to an exclusive clientele looking to explore the popular cities of Jodhpur & Udaipur—a comfortable 2 hrs ride from both.

The ‘Rawla’ (Manor) is in ‘Narlai’ village, a quaint little hamlet situated on what were once the dusty dirt-roads between the states of Marwar & Mewar (Jodhpur & Udaipur). Surrounded by an assorted landscape of rocky outcrops, lakes and forests to hike or sleep in, there is an abundance of wildlife for the favourite royal indulgence, ‘shikar’ (hunting).

The famous towns of Ranakpur and Kumbalghar are nearby with easy access to the Kumbhalgarh Fort, the temples of Ranakpur, Kumbhalgarh Ranakpur Wildlife Sanctuary and the Rajasmand Lake.
